![]() With a journey to save your love, you find yourself attempting to stop the expansion of the universe, all caused by a love triangle gone askew as cosmic beings quarrel in the dark nether of pre-creation, leading to a confrontation and that all-too deadly shot being fired. As the Big Bang begins it all, set off by a saxophonist called Golden Boy deciding to shoot the jazz singer Miss Mass, it’s clear the whacky plot is one seeming to loosely fit the creation of the Universe. Finding yourself inside The Constant - a world wrapped in familiar forms of your imagination - Genesis Noir takes the player on a primarily dialogue-less experience told through its breathtaking visuals at the core of everything. Jumping right in saying ‘sometimes reality is too complex for visual perception’, Genesis Noir marks its existentialist perspective amidst nods of alternative dimensions, shifting timelines and the unanswerable questions of life. The cosmic journey of Genesis Noir is one that at times may prove difficult to follow, but vast in its connotations. Set before, during and after The Big Bang, this catastrophically large adventure spans space and time in a way you’ll never truly understand unless played for yourself. Inspired by the abstract storytelling of Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino and the tactile gameplay of Windosill by Vectorpark, it’s no surprise that Feral Cat Den have made quite the poignant title in indie game Genesis Noir.
